Overview

A Past Producer on Private Ground

Northumberland sits in the Toquima Range of central Nevada, in the same precious metals belt as the Round Mountain, Manhattan and Tonopah districts. The resource lies on private land that previously hosted open pit mining, which may simplify permitting.

More than 1,500 holes drilled by Cyprus, Western States, Newmont and Fronteer define the deposit. The project has not been explored since about 2010, and five drill permits are in place for StrikePoint’s first program.

Notes to the Mineral Resource Estimate
  1. The MRE was prepared by Hebert Lopes Oliveira, B.Sc., P.Geo., Principal Resource Geologist at SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd., an independent Qualified Person under NI 43-101.
  2. This is StrikePoint's initial MRE and reflects revised price, cost and technical assumptions over historical estimates, which should not be relied on. CIM (2019) MRMR Best Practice Guidelines and CIM (2014) definitions were followed.
  3. Metallurgical recoveries by material type: oxide 75% Au and Ag; fresh low preg-robbing 90% Au, 70% Ag; fresh medium preg-robbing 80% Au, 60% Ag; fresh high preg-robbing 60% Au, 40% Ag.
  4. AuEq = Au (g/t) + Ag (g/t) × (Ag price × Ag recovery ÷ (Au price × Au recovery)).
  5. Estimated at variable AuEq cut-off grades using long-term prices of US$3,500/oz gold and US$55/oz silver: 0.16 g/t (oxide); 0.31 g/t (fresh, low PRV); 0.35 g/t (fresh, medium PRV); 0.47 g/t (fresh, high PRV).
  6. Reported within an optimized pit shell: 45° overall slopes; mining US$2.12/t mined; G&A US$1.35/t milled; processing US$12/t (oxide) and US$30/t (sulphide); bulk density 2.6 t/m³.
  7. Mineral Resources that are not Mineral Reserves do not have demonstrated economic viability. There are no Mineral Reserves at Northumberland.
  8. Inferred Mineral Resources have had insufficient work to be classified as Indicated. It is uncertain but reasonably expected that they could be upgraded with continued exploration.
  9. Numbers may not add due to rounding. Effective date July 10, 2026.

History

Over 150 Years of Mining

Exploration and mining have run in two main periods: silver from 1866, then gold from the late 1930s through the last open pit operations in 1991.

  1. 1866Silver discoveredSilver mineralization found, with limited underground production.
  2. 1938–42First gold miningNMC mines oxide gold, producing about 45,000 oz at 6.34 g/t before operations cease in 1942.
  3. 1975–84Cyprus open pitsCyprus defines the Main and Chipmunk deposits and runs open pit and heap leach operations.
  4. 1985–97Western StatesWSMC mines through 1991 and discovers the Zanzibar, Rockwell and Pad 4 deposits.
  5. 2003–11Newmont & FronteerA Newmont joint venture, and later Fronteer, drilled 169 holes, ran metallurgical tests, and started the Zanzibar decline.
  6. 2026StrikePointStrikePoint acquires Northumberland from Newmont on October 6, 2026, with the first exploration in over a decade to follow.

Geology & mineralization

A Carlin-Type Gold System

Gold is hosted in Paleozoic sedimentary rocks, mainly the Hanson Creek and Roberts Mountains formations, stacked in structural panels by low-angle thrust faults and intruded by Jurassic plutons.

Low-angle structural horizons acted as pathways for hydrothermal fluids, forming stratiform, stacked mineralized bodies with silicification, decalcification and argillic alteration. Gold occurs with sulphides in fresh rock and as residual gold in oxidized zones.

The deposit is interpreted as sediment-hosted, Carlin-type mineralization, similar to several mines in northeastern Nevada.

Exploration targets are conceptual in nature. There has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource on them, and it is uncertain whether further exploration will result in their delineation. Intercepts are historical results from 2005 to 2007 drilling by previous operators; true thickness is estimated at 70% to 100% of interval length.

01

Modern metallurgy

Testwork is historical and limited. A systematic program may improve recoveries, lower costs and simplify the flowsheet.

02

Historical heap leach pads

Legacy pads and waste piles may hold residual gold that earlier processing did not recover.

03

Concentrate sales

Shipping a gold concentrate to third-party processors could reduce initial capital and simplify permitting.

04

Heap leach for oxides

Oxide material was successfully heap leached in the past, which could lower costs and cut-off grades.

Opportunities are as identified by the Qualified Persons in the 2026 Technical Report and require further testwork and study. Historical metallurgical results may not be representative of the deposit as a whole.

  • Resource expansion

Metallurgy & permitting

StrikePoint plans to compare pressure oxidation, ultra-fine grind and Albion processing, whole rock against concentrate, and test modern blinding agents for preg-robbing ores. Baseline environmental data collection will be reactivated alongside ongoing monitoring.

Timelines are management targets and are subject to drilling results, financing, permitting and other risks. Funds are expected to be sufficient for a potential Pre-Feasibility Study in 2028/2029.
